    What exactly is Join Bklyn?

Join Bklyn is a curated site showcasing awesome art, fashion, photography, music, design, food, and life.

Who are your curators and how did they become savvy, cultural collectors?

We can only imagine that our very talented curators have been culturally savvy since birth. A community of bloggers, artists, and digital nerds themselves they’re dedicated to their passions and have the pulse on the newest and best content to hit the web. On our about page you can learn more about each of our curators, check out their sites and blogs, and connect with them via Facebook and Twitter.

Do you think Brooklyn is the coolest place on Earth? Don’t lie to us…

Simply, yes. The greatest strength of Brooklyn is its diverse community (self-proclaimed and born locals alike) and our tie back to that community both on and offline is very important. Brooklyn cultivates culture and brings creative people together. We’re here to reflect, support, and showcase that.

Is all of your content from Brooklyn?

Though we do have a strong focus on Brooklyn bloggers (whether or not their content is about BK), the blogs on JBK don’t necessarily have to be from Brooklyn. They just have to be great. We have one section (In Bklyn) that is dedicated to Brooklyn happenings and critique, and the rest of our site is cultural content streaming in and out of our favorite borough.

    Are you bloggers as well?

Yes. We’ve been bloggers for quite some time. As bloggers ourselves we realized that it can be difficult to find great blogs and even more difficult/annoying to manage them, which was part of the inspiration for starting Join Bklyn.

Check out Amber’s music blog Newcalendar.fm and Hannah’s stream of consciousness Hannah’s Book. Join Bklyn is always looking for great people to collaborate with, so feel free to shoot them a note to weare@joinbklyn.com.
